Today was my first day at Noam, a conservative Israeli youth group.
In the beginning they spilt the סניף (branch) into 3 groups of about 10. They kids were grades 3-8. One group was called מלפפון (cucumber), one group was called מלפפון חמוץ (pickle), and the other group was called חמוץ מאוד (very sour). Only in Israel would there be a theme of pickles and cucumbers. ;)
There was a rotation of 3 activities that the groups participated in. One activity was cucumber beer pong. Don’t worry, it was lemonade not beer!
After the first 45 minutes of cucumber related activities, we split up by age group. I was in the oldest age group, 7th and 8th graders.
Once we were split up by ages, we did a few games and then it was over.
Looking forward to see what next week’s theme will be!
