There is a phenomenon in Israel called frozen yogurt (literally yogurt that is frozen). I am not talking about everyday yogurt. There are places in Israel that have yogurt bars; you pick a yogurt, toppings, sauce, and they make it all pretty. You might think that it is like frozen yogurt places in the US and Canada, and you would be right. It is similar but not the same. For instance, in Israel it is not self-serve and minus the toppings, the yogurt is actually healthier.

My favorite place to get yogurt is Anita on Shabazi St, Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv. I definitely think Anita is the best, but you can also go to Tamara and Legenda. When you are picking toppings remember not to go overboard, and I suggest sticking to a theme such as fruit and chocolate, chocolate with nuts, or super sugary. Some places have multiple yogurt flavors to choose from which is the best, but if they only have one flavor (most likely original) you will still enjoy your yogurt. At Anita, if you want inspiration, I usually get half regular and half acai yogurt with fruit, coconut, and chocolate sauce on top. The way most people will fill up your cup is with some toppings as a base, then yogurt, more toppings, and finally a sauce. Your cup will get very full so you do not need to get the biggest size.

Please go eat some yogurt next time you are in Israel. You will most definitely not regret it.

Happy eating!

Yogurt!!! Most of the yogurts are from Anita, while a few a from Legenda and Tamara.
