For anyone who doesn’t know what Tayelet means, and would like to, Tayelet means promenade.

The Tayelet in Jerusalem has become probably my favorite place in all of Jerusalem with its spectacular view and lots of grassy area. You can walk along the many paths at the Tayelet, picnic, read, or sleep in the grass.

Everywhere at the Tayelet is great, but I do have a favorite spot that I discovered in the spring, where I love to sit and read. My description might not be understandable, but I will describe the location anyway. If you walk along the top pathway, above the grass, for a few minutes (maybe five minutes), you will see a couple trees on the grass and the path at the top goes outwards towards the grass. Then, you go down the stairs and sit under a tree.

I think the Tayelet is a good place for anyone new to Jerusalem to get an idea of where things are located. You can get a pretty good understanding of the layout of Jerusalem from the many viewpoints.
