Today we had a really interesting conversation with our taxi driver who drive us to the airport.

He was telling us how for the past ten years he has been driving a kid to and from school. The kid goes to a school for the blind in Jerusalem near the tachana mercazit.

The taxi driver has been driving the same kid to and from school for ten years, and before that he drove other kids to and from the same school. Since the taxi driver and kid are in the car with each other for at least 2 hours every day, they know each other very well and have a good relationship. The taxi driver said that it is like the kid is his kid.

Students at the school for the blind go until age 19, and then for a year they live in an apartment owned by the school with counselors. They learn how to cook, how to organize your room, and other life skills.

The kid is now 16, and started being driven to and from school by this taxi driver when he was 6.

The government pays for the school and for private taxis for getting to and from the school.

I found this really interesting because the taxi driver was so connected to the kid.
