At our school we have to wear skirts every day. Which sucks because I hate skirts. However, the skirts that girls wear are EXTREMELY SHORT! I am not really sure if you would call them skirts. They are more like belts.
Lots of girls will wear a T-shirt and jeans and just slip a skirt on top. If a girl is not wearing pants and only a skirt, you can’t always see their skirt from behind. Their barely long shirts cover up their skirts.
Since girls wear short skirts, they can get dresscoded. When this happens, they take a skirt they keep in their lockers just for this reason and put it on underneath their other skirt. It is not very fashionable but it is the Hartman Girls style. Today, a girl in my class and I got dresscoded. Our teacher told us to go up stairs, grab our phones, bring our phones to the office, take a skirt from the office, and go get our phones at the end of the day when we return our skirts. I didn’t understand why we had to exchange our phones for an ugly school skirt. Do they seriously think people will steal the skirts?! I was so pissed at my teacher for dresscoding me since my skirt was not that short, I had pants underneath, and other girls in my class had shorter skirts but didn’t get dresscoded. Now that I have been dresscoded I have really experienced what it means to be a student at the Hartman Girls School.
