We went to the Shvil Hamaayanot twice, on both Sunday May 31st and Sunday June 14th. I briefly mentioned this place without a name in my Gush post (that was the 31st).
Shvil Hamayaanot means path of springs, so, as the name indicates, there are paths to man made pools of water.
The first time we went, we took one path that leads to 3 pools of water and the nicest one was the farthest. It was about 20 minutes to the first pool, 15 more minutes to the second one, and 10 more minutes to the last one. When we went the second time we took another, shorter path someone told us about last time we were there. This other, quicker path was about 5-10 minutes to a pool of water. Although this pool was much closer, I preferred the longer path because the closer pool was almost entirely in the shade and was a steeper climb.
I would only come here in the warmer months (May-September give or take) since the water is quite cold. If you are ever in the area of Hadassah Ein Karem, I would try and stop here for a quick and fun pitstop.

Let’s hike!
