Yesterday, we went on another school trip. I really like school trips because we usually get out early and it is way better than class!
The field trip today was going to 2 biennial exhibits. Biennial is an art festival that occurs every two years. There are global biennial, and other biennials like the Jerusalem bienni. The biennial has many artists create a pieces of art on a particular theme. The theme this year, in Jerusalem, was לשם שמים which means for the sake of heaven.
The first exhibit was a collection of small exhibits all in one building. These exhibits were interesting and kind of weird. However, the second exhibit, which was at the YMCA, was extremely weird. It was definitely not my taste. After both exhibits, we had a picnic lunch. For the picnic, everyone had to bring certain food. I had to bring potato borekas.
