Last week as part of the open restaurant festival I went on a tour of some of the old city markets. The old city is one square km with 45,000 people living in it. Lots of different markets including a spice market, textile market and of course, lots of food. Above are a few photos that f the food we ate.

The spice shop we visited was opened by the same family for 9 generations. And I learnt that the crown shape comes from the top of the pomegranate.
