Tonight, we went to one of our favorite restaurants. At this classic Israeli restaurant, they have tons of selatim. Selatim are little salads, hummus, french fries, falafel, Laffa (type of bread), etc. If you get a main course then the bottomless slatim are free, otherwise you just pay 50 shekels a person (about 15 US dollars).

At this restaurant, they also have really good service and our waiter tonight was really nice and hilarious.

He came insistently to refill our untouched slatim many times. And at the end of the meal he asked (those eligible to drink, which is 18+ in Israel) if they wanted shots. Ima asked what the shot was and he just said “trust me, its good.” Which it was, according to Ima, Cary, and Jeron.

Also, we were talking with him a lot. He said he was trying to get a green card and marrying one of us wouod make that easier. In exchange for a spouse, he would give us free food, drinks, and dessert for a month.

Since Naomi and I are only 13, we decided Jeron would be married off.

Our waiter said he was going to South America soon and Jeron should come meet him.

“Don’t come without the green card.” -Daniel (the waiter)

“I married my waiter and we are going to South America next month.” -Jeron

I had never laughed as hard as I did at this meal. And the waiter definitely agreed, he said we were the funniest family.

???

I highly recommend this restaurant. It is called Ezra.

Jeron and his fiancée

If Jeron looks drunk, it is probably because he is. No wonder he is ready for marriage!

P.S. The food could be improved with garlic.
