Basher (באשר) is a store in the shuk with incredible European cheeses.
Now, the whole store is חלב ישראל (this means the process is done solely by machines and shomer Shabbat Jew’s) which is really hard to do.
Basher was started 25 years ago by two brothers: Dudi and Eli Basher. This store is now a chain. Thank god because it is so damn delicious! And don’t worry, they have memberships. Most importantly you can sample cheeses and some of their other snacks. Yay!!!
Besides their incredible cheeses, they have butter, סלטים (side dishes/salads), lots of wine (because, obviously, wine + cheese = best combo), and during lunch they have sandwiches.
They have many cheeses; colorful, traditional, and unique flavors. The cheeses we tried were grue yare from Switzerland, gouda from Holland which is pronounced gow da, cheese with pesto and dried tomatoes also from Holland, feta with pesto which is Israeli, carmel which is from Norway, and truffle cheese.
More about cheese: At Basher, they have both truffle and normal butter which are both from France. The truffle butter is distilled in France and the truffle is from Italy.

P.S. Depending on the cheese, you could improve the taste with either chocolate or garlic.

The rectangular cheese wrapped in red is the special cheese from Norway

Is it too much to have truffle butter 5 meals in a row?
