This is the final post in our mini series about the tour.
The last stop on our food tour was a pita bar called Dwiny/ דוויני. Dwiny is North African influenced food.
The owner of the pita bar is a woman named Dina. Most North African restaurants are owned by men but this is owned by a women.
We ordered two dishes. One of called Over the Top Seniyah and the other was Ground Lamb.
Over the top seniyah was lamb, eggplant, tahini, fried tomato and pickled lemon served in a hot pan with pita on the side. We put all of the ingredients into the pita and then ate it. It was super good!!!
The Ground lamb was tahini, tomato cubes, hot green chili, and greens, but we got it without the chili. This dish was served in small pieces of pita which looked like tacos. This dish was also delicious!!!
The two dishes tasted quite similar, but the ingredients in the first dish were mixed together more.
I was super glad that we went on this food tour! It was one of my favorite days in Israel so far!!! Wherever you are in the world, you should always go on a food tour!

P.S. Both of the dishes would be improved with garlic
