In our few hours here we have already done so much. From tasting national food to walking along the cobblestone streets, we are already in love with this city. My favorite food (which will be your favorite food too if you ever try it) is Pasteis. Pasteis have a flaky crust and creamy sweet custard filling. Pasteis are incredible by themselves and with coffee. If you need some good food besides those sweet treats, I recommend the Time Out Market. Lisbon, or Lisboa to locals, is not only good for its food, it has a picturesque landscape. Bright colorful houses line the tile sidewalks, squares are filled with beautiful statues, parks show views of the river, and many people walk the narrow streets. I loved my time today and can’t wait to enjoy one more outing tomorrow!
P.S. Pasteis would be improved with a chocolate drizzle on top.
