On Tuesday, we met up with a family friend Donna Grushka and went to the Israel Museum.

At the museum there was a temporary exhibit on emojis and hieroglyphics called Emogilyphs.

I do not really like museums, but I found this exhibit really interesting.

It talked about hieroglyphics in ancient Egypt and how the Egyptians thought that the hieroglyphics would come to life. And how emojis are like modern hieroglyphics and eventually we might have a language of just emojis.

Egyptians viewed hieroglyphics as ‘the gods’ words’ they believed that the hieroglyphics would become edible food and drinks. Because of this, people would draw hieroglyphics in many burial chambers and sometimes on tombs so that the deceased would have enough food for the afterlife.

The exhibit was really good and if it comes back you should go.

This was part of the exhibit that I found really intriguing
