Today we crossed back into Israel after being in Hungary and Jordan. We re-entered at Allenby.

We left really early because we were afraid that Israel would come up with more rules to deal with corona paranoia. So far, there are at least 15 countries that if you come from them, you must be quarantined for 14 days when you arrive in Israel. Anyone who has been out of the country is not allowed in any gathering of 100+ people for two weeks.

On the Jordanian side it was really quick to deal with the passports and everything but we still needed to wait for the bus. They told us it would be five minutes, but apparently Jordanian five minutes actually means 35 minutes.

We arrived at the Israeli part of the border after lots of stops. There is a bus you have to take between the Jordanian and Israeli sides. Some guy with a French passport, who was on our bus, got questioned because of corona and slowed our bus down. Then, we got stuck behind a huge tour group of old people at security and Sara almost lost a bag.

Finally, we headed for Jerusalem and our apartment. It took us, this morning, four and a half hours door to door.

P.S. Thanks Aunt Sara for the coming up with the title and ‘corona paranoia’.
