I don’t know if I have already talked about this, but there is a butter shortage in Israel. This is such an important topic that it deserves to be mentioned multiple times.

Currently, the only butter you can find is European butter, and even that is hard to find. The main Israeli dairy company has stopped selling their butter in Israel because the government sets a price for certain items, like butter, and the diary company can sell butter for more money outside of the Israel.

Israeli butter is really good and it is a travesty that you can not find it in Israel.

The reason I have said all of the above is that yesterday morning and this morning (at my yummy hotel breakfasts) I found mini packets of Israeli butter. It made me so happy!!!

Since the butter is so rare, I had to take some packets back for our apartment in Jerusalem. With the help of my accomplices (Jeron and Alexandra) I have saved 13 packets of Israeli butter to enjoy.

I hope that anytime you go to Israel that there is no butter shortage, otherwise we you will have to go to a certain hotel breakfast in Eilat and smuggle some butter.

P.S. Garlic butter is delicious (butter would be improved with garlic)

All of my butter. Yay!
