In Jerusalem yesterday, traffic was insane! Because of a big parade, streets got closed and buses were canceled and rerouted. It made getting places very annoying. We had to walk everywhere because the buses weren’t working like usual. The one time we took a cab, instead of going straight we had to go down and around. That car ride took so much longer than it should’ve and it was very nauseating.
Because of bus mania, as I so cleverly named it, the buses of almost the entire city were by the old city. Not the whole city, of course, but it sure looked like it. When we were walking on the sidewalk, 4 buses passed us within 1 minute. Crazy!
I definitely did not enjoy bus mania for one reason. Getting places by transportation was practically impossible, so we had to walk everywhere. In the heat!
This is definitely one memory from this year that I wish I didn’t experience.
