Last Wednesday we went to the botanical gardens in Jerusalem.
We met Laurie at the gardens and walked and talked. It was nice and there was lots of green, however I thought it seemed more like a gigantic backyard than a backyard.
The first thing we saw at the garden was a big pond which was gorgeous!
This was the first real activity we had done since the beginning of corona, and although I love being at home, it was nice to go out and do something.
While we were at the gardens, we saw the apartment that Ima and her family lived in when they were in Israel. We even saw the closed off deck that used to be Ima’s room.
Also, I learned that botanical gardens in Hebrew is הגן הבוטני. So many Hebrew words come from English words!

A koala bear stuffed animal holding onto a tree. Weird but so cute!
