Everyone loves to text. Especially Israelis! I am on so many group chats with people that all text so much. And I know everyone hates group chats, but in Israel, it is a new definition of annoying.
For starters, it is in hebrew and can be very hard to understand. Although, that’s not usually the case. Pretty much the only thing my classmates text is some version of do we have homework? When is it due? Can someone send a picture? Which class has homework? (The class is not always together. Sometimes my class is split into two groups with different teachers or the entire grade is split into three different groups with their own teachers.) My classmates text these questions over and over. It is so annoying!
There are many chats I am apart of. I have a class chat, a grade chat, an English class chat (that is english speakers), and a Noam chat (my youth group).
With my class chat, people almost always are asking about homework. Someone asks if we have homework and when it is due, and then someone asks the same thing. Also, they swear a lot! It is really funny when they swear because they just spell english swear words with Hebrew letters. Here are the most common examples: shit-שיט and f*ck-פאק. Today someone wrote הולישיט which confused me before I understood that they mean holy shit. Then, I just laughed. ?
