Our first food stop on the tour was at a Georgian restaurant. The restaurant was in a part of the shuk called the Iraqi Shuk.
The restaurant we went to only served one dish, but they served it in multiple ways. The dish is called Acharuli. Acharuli is a bread basket filled with cheese, butter, and an egg. The egg is not fully cooked when you get the dish, so you mix it all together and the heat from the other ingredients cooks the egg.
Acharuli is a delicious Georgian dish!!! It tastes like toast with cheesy scrambled eggs.
The best way to eat acharuli, in my opinion, is to rip off some of the bread and dip it in the cheesy mixture.
Fun Fact: Achu means cheese curds in Georgian.

P.S Acharuli would be improved with garlic
